Frank Harris [Basketball '18]

Born in 1972, Frank Harris discovered his love for basketball at a young age. Skills developed in neighborhood games would lead to his joining of the elite AAU travel team in New York City. Harris went on to be accepted into Riverdale Country School, one of the top-rated NYC private schools, where he excelled as a scholar athlete. 

While he was recruited by a number of Ivy League and Division I schools, he decided to commit to Davidson College, where he was named “Freshman of the Year.” Looking for a better fit, Harris transferred to Connors State College, where he not only excelled on the court being named First Team All American, but was also named “Mr. Connors” and graduated with honors. He continued his collegiate career at Stanford before graduating Cum Laude from New York University, where he was also named an Academic All–American. After graduation, Harris continued a successful basketball career in Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Germany and France.

After deciding to retire from basketball, Harris pursued a law degree, receiving his juris doctorate in 2004 from the University of Miami. Specializing in sports and entertainment law, he founded The Harris Law Firm. He has since developed additional businesses including an entertainment management firm, record label, publishing company and film & television production company. He was instrumental in developing and building the career of international pop star Jason Derulo, whom he still manages along with many other rising stars. Most recently Harris started a venture capital company where he has invested in a shoe & clothing line, exercise & wellness franchises, a fan engagement company, as well as a music streaming company.

Harris and his wife Nicole married in 2006 and have three boys, Jordan, Cole and Hudson. They reside in Calabass, California where spends free time on the court coaching and teaching his boys about the game that has been a central element in his life.
