Luther Martin [Basketball '18]

After graduating from Checotah High School in 1960, Luther Martin came to Connors State College on a basketball scholarship. He then continued his education and playing career at New Mexico State University. 

After college, Martin coached the mens and womens basketball teams at Stigler High School for three seasons. In 1968, he was selected as the baseball coach at Oklahoma Military Academy in Claremore Oklahoma, now Rogers State University. After 26 years, Martin retired from coaching in 1994 and is now an insurance agent for Oklahoma Farm Bureau in Tulsa.

Martin married Judy Wallace of Oktaha on September 12, 1963. Together they have a son, Mickey, daughter-in-law, Kelly and a granddaughter Kyla who reside in Inola.
