Derek Nunn [Baseball '18]
After being awarded the Most Valuable Player for Muskogee High School in 1993, Derek Nunn came to Connors State College to start his collegiate baseball career. While playing for the Cowboys in 1995, he hit .437, 5 home runs, 44 RBIs and was selected for the Region 2 All-Tournament team and 2nd Team All-Region. In 1996, he hit .411, with 12 home runs, and 82 RBIs, earning All Region 3rd Baseman and was named to the Region II All-Tournament Team.
Following graduation from Connors, Nunn signed with Northwestern State University in Louisiana, where he was named to the Southland All-Conference Baseball team in 1998 and Academic All-Conference in 1997 & 1998.
Currently working for the Department of Veterans Affairs in Muskogee, Nunn works as a Decision Review Officer. He has also served as a member of the Hilldale Public Schools Board of Education since 2013.
He and his wife, Greeva, have been married since 2001 and together have a daughter, Aspen.
