Jeff Salazar [Baseball '15]
Jeff Salazar attended and played baseball at Connors State from 1999 to 2001. He was named a National Junior College Athletic Association honorable mention All-American in 2001.
He was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the eighth round in 2002, where he was named the Rockies’ Organizational Player of the Year in 2003 and led all of Minor League Baseball in runs scored in both 2003 and 2004. Salazar was voted to four All-Star teams.
Salazar made his major league debut in 2006 with the Rockies and also spent time with Arizona, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Detroit and Tampa Bay.
He is currently a hitting instructor and player development representative for the Colorado Rockies.
